NDGIT opens Swiss location and becomes SFTI member

Munich, 13 November 2018

NDGIT, provider of the first API platform for banking and insurance in Europe, is poised for further growth. On 1 December, the innovator for open banking and PSD2 software will open its office in the prestigious Technopark Zurich, where it can offer improved services to leading Swiss banks and fintechs, including its customers UBS, BEKB, Hypothekarbank Lenzburg, Synpulse and DXC Technology.

“Reflecting NDGIT’s European growth, Switzerland is our second domestic market. With Swiss banks increasingly relying on the NDGIT API platform, we needed to upscale. Now, for the first time, we can support customers from our Zurich office, lifting our service to a new dimension,” says Oliver Dlugosch, CEO of NDGIT.

Joining forces to drive the industry

In October NDGIT also became an associated member of the organization Swiss Fintech Innovations (SFTI). The approached joined goal is to further evolve the FinTech and banking industry in Switzerland. Commenting on the collaboration, Oliver Dlugosch said: “We are anxious to take our first joint action and proud to contribute to the development of open banking APIs in Switzerland.”

Success through outsourcing

Following a successful financing round in 2018, NDGIT’s expansion in Switzerland is the next logical step in the company’s development – also thanks to its strong partnership with the Swiss bank Hypothekarbank Lenzburg (HBL). In 2017 NDGIT and HBL joined forces to launch the first open banking platform in Switzerland honoured with the Euro Finance Tech Award. The Swiss bank opted for NDGIT’s out-of-the-box open banking solution. It enables banks to open up their traditional banking system in a flexible and expandable manner to implement their digital strategies: from PSD2 and open banking to fintech ecosystems.
